Cheryl,

<< M$FT has been a highly profitable company
producing, at best, mediocre applications software
and truly awful O/S software. >>

Mediocre applications? Have you ever used the Office 2000 suite? In my opinion, this application is the most impressive piece of software I've ever encountered and is immensely valuable to my company, and the efficiency of all companies' future business and interaction. This product is irreplaceable in terms of the future of business. The Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint are superior to any other projects in that arena. The Office suite is moving towards 100% market share because it deserves it. MS Project is rather impressive as well.

Awful O/S software? I don't hear many users complaining about Windows '98, mostly competitors. Why did Windows NT make such large market share inroads recently? Why is Windows 2000 being so widely adopted? It's because they are excellent products, isn't it? Or, is there some invisible force out there that magically turns each of the MS operating systems into the dominant market leader?

Think about it.

Dave
