Enjoyed your post but was taken for a quick loop when you wrote:

Unfortunately, a lot of people who bought QCOM in the last six months did believe the "one-way tollbooth" and WCDMA is vaporware crap, to the detriment, now, of us all.

Do you believe the recent share weakness is because WCDMA will rule and QCOM won't participate? Allen, I think you might be surprised just how long it takes WCDMA to come to market in a form that is superior to available solutions from Qualcomm. Nobody, including the engineers at Qualcomm, Nokia, Ericy and others, knows how this is going to play out but I think even you might be more than a little surprised.

Certainly a wider spread is superior once it is practical and ready for market but the recent share price weakness is not a good indicator of the success of WCDMA over Qualcomm solutions.
