SunSpot you are really misinformed, those 4000 computers are only doing web crawls with some proprietary indexeing. No tranactions, no updates, no inserts, nothing relevant to the business world. An acedemic exercise at best. Windows is running business processes at some of the largest firms on the planet. Name one Fortune 1-10,000 that actually does a business transaction on Linux! They aren't any! And for good reason. You see, it's not all about what you can do technically, it's about what you can sustain, invest in, support, service, building 3rd party commercial investment, and build upon without having to reinvent the wheel. Windows has all of those because of thoughtful innovation and investment over time. It is yet to be seen for Linux and Sun has foresaken the support of 3rd parties leaving it to have to develop ever thing internally and to the exclusion of everyone else. keithsha
