American engineers at Denso, located just minutes away form the QCOM HQ, had enough trouble getting the QCOM ASIC integrated with the Denso software and 'phone. QCOM were roundly criticised. Even with the improvements put in place since then, QCOM are now going to support multiple OEM's in China!!! Remember that their handset experts are now all working for Kyocera. w.
