Jorj's Musing for the day:
What's that saying about the stocks that you buy in a bad market? Something about if you can drink it, smoke it or eat it, buy it....

I believe that idea is that drinking and smoking will actually increase during rough times and they certainly won't decrease because they provide a diversion and/or have addictive properties. I think that we will identify a new category in the next couple of years...."if you can drink it, smoke it, eat it or surf it, buy it". Think about it, even the guys that are railing about the overvaluation of the internet stocks and comparing the market to the tulipmania, are just as addicted to the internet as you and I.

It is my contention that the internet is rapidly becoming comparable to cigarettes and booze. If they outlawed the internet tomorrow, it would comparable to crack or herion and not some wimpy drug like the ganja.

There is certainly no question in Mrs. McKie's mind that SI and trading are just another couple of addictions in a long history of jonesing by jorj.
