<After AT&T's reversal, Mr. Kennard promptly issued another statement saying
he was "glad to see that AT&T has deferred its plan to restructure its basic
rates." He added that the FCC, in the face of last week's landmark overhaul of
phone charges, "must ensure that consumer actually realized tangible benefits."

To make sure there isn't any doubt, the FCC chairman has asked AT&T to
outline, in writing, its plans for passing along savings and notifying consumers
about any changes AT&T plans to make

Kennard is taking over where the USSR Central Planners in charge of pricing 5 year plans left off!

Hasn't he heard of supply and demand, free enterprise, competition and things like that?

The USA is not the land of the free that is claimed.

I wonder why the FCC can't just leave minute prices to market forces. If AT&T customers don't like the new minute prices, they could just swap to Sprint, Verizon, Leap or whoever.

Who is in charge of firing Kennard?
