Go Online Kiosk Division Adds Marriott Resort Hospitality Corporation of Orlando to its Network Info Touch Technologies to Introduce SurfNet Premier to Go Online's Customers BUENA PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 2000--Joe Naughton, Chairman/CEO of Go Online Networks, Corp. (OTC-BB: GONT - news) and Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman/CEO of Info Touch Technologies (CDNX:IFT - news) today jointly announced the introduction of SurfNet Premier, an enhanced software developed by Info Touch to advance the user's kiosk experience and allow better remote management.
Go Online Kiosk Division currently operates more than 240 Internet kiosk units, servicing more than 215 hotels located throughout 40 U.S. states and one Canadian Province. Go Online's clientele includes hotels and motels operated by Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton, Ramada Inn, Days Inn, Quality Inn, and Comfort Inn. Go Online's newest client is Marriott Resorts Hospitality Corporation (MRHC) headquartered in Orlando, FL. MRHC has agreed to locate multiple Go Online Kiosk units in its Grande Vista Condominium Resort property, located in Orlando. This facility features 120, 2- and 3-bedroom luxurious villas for its customers.
Info Touch has been contracted by Go Online over the past year to build more than 170 of the Internet Kiosk units comprising Go Online's current network. SurfNet Premier has been developed to enhance the end users ability to share feedback and suggestions directly to Go Online, expanded the Help section to orientate the customers on how to use the kiosk, and developed an integrated dial pad allowing the customers to have the ability to make phone calls via the Internet.
Additionally, this software upgrade also enhanced Go Online's ability to remotely manage each kiosk as well as a finer control of directed geographical advertising. Also included in the upgrade is advertiser sponsored ``Free Access'' buttons and enhanced advertising through the use of animated graphics and movies.
Mr. Shahbazi provided further insight about this project, stating ``...we are targeting a completion date for SurfNet Premiere by February 2001; however, as key milestones are completed we are confident that Premiere's installation will be completed sooner than scheduled. Info Touch and Go Online have been performing methodical project management ensuring that all back-end support structures are fluid providing maximum support for the launch of Premiere. Through our close working relationship, both companies are realizing the commercial potential of the combination of Go Online's network locations and Info Touch's software based e-commerce potential and transactional revenue model; we have begun discussions surrounding joint-ownership opportunities for hotel kiosk locations throughout North America.'' Both companies will deploy 30 kiosks within the next month, featuring SurfNet premier.
