Nice post, A.L. I particularly liked the baseball analogy. I'm not sure Maurice is familiar with baseball. Perhaps cricket.

Assume that the tenth player, Q, owns all the baseballs, catcher's mitts, all the bats, and the lights for night games. The other nine players own equal shares in all baseball socks, shirts, some shoes, and hot dog concession. Wouldn't you expect an accomodation/compromise richly favorable to the Q so that the game could proceed?
