dol.gov In the week ending June 3, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 309,000, an increase of 20,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 289,000. The 4-week moving average was 290,250, an increase of 2,750 from the previous week's revised average of 287,500.
Import Prices for May = +0.6% Export Prices = +0.2%
bls.gov The U.S. Import Price Index increased 0.6 percent in May, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. The increase in May was attributable to a 6.5 percent upturn in petroleum prices, as nonpetroleum prices declined 0.2 percent for the month. Export prices also rose in May, up 0.2 percent, after dipping 0.1 percent in April. |
