Addendum: (Someone reminded me of this) At the end of the program, Bill Maher read from a textbook that (hi K! Hope I guessed right) Elian was using in the school he was attending while with the relatives in Miami. He had saved it for the finale, making the point that brainwashing was occurring here as well. I can't remember the exact quotes, of course, how I wish I had written them down.. The one that made me blink was about how Nixon had been unfairly treated and that now we know he is a great hero. And something about we must have prayer in our schools- but the impression I have is that it was a very invasive kind of We are a Christian Nation- approach- definitely NOT separation of church and state. Does anyone else remember- because it was really pretty interesting! THe lawyer kept saying- What book is that? What book is that!"
