NEW YORK, June 8 /CNW/ -- SPEEDIA, a wireless Web information provider and mobile e-commerce enabler, today announced that iGo Corporation (Nasdaq: IGOC - news), a leading business-to-business provider of mobile and wireless accessories via electronic commerce, is offering SPEEDIA Wireless Web Mobile Services to its customers. The service, rebranded for iGo, called "iGo Alerts," will provide customers with access to a wide range of personalized wireless Internet services on the Web and on their mobile devices. Personalized choices pertinent to mobile professionals include mobile e-mail, nine news categories, real-time stock and mutual fund quotes, portfolio valuation, sports scores and game updates, weather forecasts, flight status information and traffic reports. iGo will also offer original iGo mobile technology content and tech tips as well as special promotional offers for iGo Alerts users.
The new iGo Alerts service is expected to become available to iGo customers in July, 2000 and will be accessible by a variety of mobile platforms, including WAP-enabled wireless phones, PDA's, and pagers.
