I read some of those posts, Buckey and they're unfortunate. It's been a good thread over there but a couple posters are spoiling it. Angry bitter types, they know little about the mining exploration business.

Truth is mining exploration requires many people with varying talents. Like any business, it needs technical and accounting people plus sales and marketing. It needs people with passion and purpose ready to go the extra mile. Without that mix, there is no lasting success. It's that simple.

I don't know Heather's credentials and don't much care. I met her at PDAC and saw a vibrant person with passion and purpose. That's worth big points. She was conversant with geological and geophysical terms and equipment and knew the properties well. I doubt she would be much good running a jack hammer like the threatening poster at SH but then I doubt that's her job.

The people in mining aspect is fascinating. Many think being a diehard geologist is mandatory. Believe me, it's not. They come from all walks of life and backgrounds. Consider Doug Hume at NWI. His background was real estate development. Mining exploration is a second career started in his 50's. Consider Viola MacMillen or Murry Pezim or M.J Boylen. In 1968 I met Peter Munk when he was running a mid-sized manufacturing company making hi-fi stereo sets in Toronto. After that he was in the international hotel business before eventually getting Barrick. You must admit he did well with Barrick but he's now in real estate development with Trizec. I'm sure he will do well there too.

The one thing they have or had in common is passion for their enterprise. It's vital. I'm surprised more people don't realize how important it is. Barr apparently does and I think she'll serve his cause well.

At times I've criticized Barr and spoke of the Barr factor with his heavy emphasis on promotion. However, there should be no mistaking his accomplishments. He's in the mining exploration business. No one knows the eventual outcome at River Valley so he continues exploring other properties with other companies. Not all eggs are in one basket. The organization will continue regardless of the outcome. It's hard for many to realize this when all interest is on one small area near Dana, but it's important. So is good timing.

Anyway, enough of this. I'm not currently a shareholder but think it's time to climb on board. Andrew posted his reasons and I agree.

Regards Buckey,
Bob
