I know the largest short sellers on the Street. I am an active short seller. None of the people I talk to have so little understanding of the market that they would think that paying some guy to make posts on SI would have even a remote effect on a stock like RMBS that trades millions of shares a day. Nothing I, you, or anyone else on this thread says has anything more than a very minor effect on the price of RMBS at most, and the short sellers on the Street know that. The more nefarious of the short sellers certainly do attempt to manipulate information from time to time, but that manipulation doesn't happen here at SI, at least for a stock as liquid as RMBS. There just isn't a wide enough audience here for any information to have the desired effect. Bilow surely laughs a little louder every time somebody posts this stuff, because it is absurd.
