Handwriting Is on the Wall for Job Seekers
dailynews.yahoo.com

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Swedish furniture chain Ikea is trying to attract young professionals with handwritten job
advertisements on lavatory walls, a company manager said on Wednesday.

``In the toilet people are more relaxed and receptive to our message,'' Ikea's Jimmy Ostholm told the Kvallposten evening
newspaper in southern Sweden, where the unlisted company is seeking copywriters and project managers.

Ikea says its ads on the walls of restaurant restrooms in Malmo`s chic Lilla Torget area cost one tenth the
amount charged by newspapers and produce better results.

``After only four days we had received 60 applications. That's four or five times more than what we would
get from a normal newspaper ad,'' Ostholm told Swedish news agency TT.
