RE: Additional Points from Saturday's Program

Bob discussed an article from the New York Times on the "budget agreement" recently reached by Clinton and the Republican majority leaders. The article pointed out that the Democrats and the Republicans now can't agree on what was "verbally" agreed on at the budget meetings. It now seems that they really didn't come to agreement on the capital gains cut, even though they stated that the "effective date" of the cap gains tax cut is May 7, 1997.
