Can fiber handle power sent in packets of 10mj/20ns?

I don't have the damage thresholds of typical SM fiber handy
but that is a lot of power and far exceeds the capability
of any high power communications lasers I know about, by a factor of 10,000. The optical power density is HUGE on SM
fiber.
