chic, I was in Ft Wayne, IN, yesterday and decided to check out some computer stores. A small SS had mostly Athlon and Celeron systems, but more Athlon's. Circuit City had 700, 800, 900 and 1 GHz Athlon systems but the fastest PIII was a 600. They were even selling a 533 MHz PIII and next to it was a 566 MHz Celeron. (stupid!)

I was impressed that GHz Athlons are not just a big city phenomenon.
