James, that would be my guess, that AVID hit Prudential's price target, and they do not think the stock has further upside. But this is only a guess, which is meaningless. I don't agree, though, that a stock is necessarily due for a dip just because it had a good week or two. In fact, often the opposite is true: stocks that are hot continue to do well. For example, a week or two ago I declined to invest in CREAF because it had already come up from low single digits to $14. Now it is at $19. Anyway, I hope that anyone who has info on Prudential's report will please post. I have found AVID to be a great trading stock between $20 and $22, but I don't like to trade stocks that are getting downgraded.
