OT (and silly - but all in good fun) >> I'll redouble my efforts not to mispronounce your name<<

You know, I'm feeling awfully guilty about Your name. I know that when, as part of a good natured ribbing, I called you SNAZ, you did not appreciate it very much. But then I realized the effect it had. It was only a few days after I called you SNAZ that you abruptly changed your screen name to Apollo! Wow!

Actually, I did some reading up on the Greek god Apollo. Pretty scarry stuff:

- Apollo is remembered for having flayed alive Marsyas

- Apollo taught Cassandra the art of prophecy wishing to gain her favours, but as she refused him

- Apollo fell in love with Marpessa 1 but she was carried off by Idas 2 in a winged chariot which he received from Poseidon. Apollo and Idas 2 fought for her but Zeus parted them and let the girl choose her husband, and she chose Idas 2 before Apollo as husband of fear that Apollo might desert her in her Old Age.

- Apollo fell also in love with Daphne 1 and pursued her, but trying to escape she turned into a laurel tree.

- Hyacinthus 1 was a young man, whom Apollo loved, but the god, involuntarily, killed him

oh well, unlucky in love...
