Yahoo has been reporting lower 2001 earnings vs 2000 for at least 6 weeks. AMD has hit several highs over the past 6 weeks, despite the poor market condition.

Respectively I must disagree.....Zack's research reported the change after the first week in May. There was one new closing high during that week. Since then, the first new closing high was a few days ago following a breakout, and that breakout has failed.

However I point out this stuff only to indicate that there may be a problem....I was hoping to generate a discussion.

From who? Please post your link or let us know where you are hearing this.

Check my past posts in the last two weeks.....I posted excerpts from articles and not the links...first heard the speculation on CNBC about 3 weeks ago that there might be a slowdown in the PC chip business. PC sales now are not what they were thought to be and concerns of an economic slowdown may result in slower sales next year.

I would not say derision. But I would expect that if people disagree with you, they will let you know and provide their argument. You said this AM that you have discovered why AMD has been having a hard time past few weeks, when in reality, compared to the market it only had a hard time yesterday. That's my opinion.

I appreciate your opinion.
