Mani, <AMD has hit and closed at SEVERAL all time highs since the prediction of lower EPS next year was listed on yahoo. The sell off was related to the over all market.>

I will confess to keeping track of the Yahoo estimates. The first date that Y01 < Y00 was May 4. AMD closed at all-time highs of $90.00 on May 4 and $92.00 on May 5 (again per Yahoo, and yes I am tracking this too).

Since then, I agree with your second sentence, AMD has been bouncing with the market. I believe some holders are deciding to pocket their gains, particularly after watching it swoop up and down.

I am concerned that the effect of taxes will cause some investors to make poor decisions, but the institutions and big holders should be more aware and realize current "tax-free" gains are a one-time event and be more concerned about AMD demonstrating continued top-line growth, effective (taxed equivalent) earnings growth, and being competitive going forward.
