Citrix Systems (Nasdaq:CTXS - news) Shares fell 8 1/8 to 51 9/16. Thursday, with heavy selling placing the stock on the volume leader board. The fall was sparked by investor concern that the Microsoft split will mean increased competition for the maker of software for server-based computing. In addition, if Microsoft loses market share, that may hurt royalties paid by Microsoft under software licenses from Citrix.
