So I'm looking for a new list of things to worry about. From your posts, we could start this list with:

1) Will Y2001 earnings be lower than Y2000 earnings.

2) Slowdown of semiconductor sector.

I'll add:

3) Possible blowout performance by Willy.

Mike,

Thanks for the new points to worry about....I always like to have a lot on my plate to worry about. <g>

Your point is well taken....and this AM when I posted, I was not trying to work the thread into hysteria. It was a heads up and an attempt to open up a discussion.

Frankly I am less worried about Willamette than I once was because of the RMBS connection and Intel's inability lately to execute well.

However it caught me by surprise that next year's AMD earnings may be less than this year's. BTW I was in a stock briefly that had the same thing come up and I posted the info to the Yahoo board that I was on as soon as I saw it. There was absolutely no reaction...I was really surprised so I posted it again. Again no reaction...in fact shortly after the second posting ,someone posted me, asking me a question that had nada to do with earnings.

In any case I sold the stock and shortly thereafter it tanked big time. I don't believe the situations are analogous at all....my point was that on this thread I at least got a reaction. And I know that no one wants to hear potentially bad news....understandably.
