Max, My experience is similar. I'm getting 2meg up 4 down using Roadrunner here in Houston. Installation took about 10 days. SBC took several months just to show up. When they did they determined my signal was too weak. I'm a little over 18000 feet. You would think they would look that up in their computer. Also, I had to talk to a least six individuals to get the thing rolling. What a zoo! Competition may change all that. Hey Scrapps, do you think the Feds may have done something right for a change?
