OT Re: Buying vs. Renting Joe, I think you missed the point of what Pete and I were agreeing on. You're looking at it strictly from a rent vs. buy scenario. For example, if you have $1000 a month spend, which is better buying or renting? I think in most cases people would agree buying is the way to go. Pete and I were looking at it from the point of view that rent and mortgage payments are both a waste of money. The point is to minimize your payment so you can move the extra money into more lucrative investments, like AMD. chic
