SI changed policy again and made it free to join, at least they did last time I looked. You aren't supposed to have two accounts, but I don't know what would happen if you closed one and opened another. I don't think SI even knows my real name, I don't think they even asked for it when I joined. Not really sure, it was a couple of years ago.

Whoops, they changed again, now you have to open a NDB brokerage account. It was totally free a couple of weeks ago.
