OT...i just re-read my earlier post myself and noticed i did use the term 'unstable'. note this was specifically in reference to the last 15 or so years, which have seen a succession of record cold/warm winters and record hot summers, beginning in the early '80's. i remember in December '89, i left Johannesburg, which just experienced the hottest summer in 100 years for a visit to New York, which just suffered the coldest winter in well over 100 years. needless to say, i caught a cold...:) hb
