Ho ho ho ho -- just off the presses man! <VBG> Subject: GE Named E-Business Of The Year Importance: High I?m excited to confirm that it?s official?GE has been named ?Internet Business of the Year? by Internet Week Magazine. This special issue, hitting newsstands on Monday, features a full page photo of JFW and the title ?Internet Business of the Year? on a special pull-out section of the magazine. Inside, GE is profiled in a multi-page article featuring photos of Jack, Gary Reiner and Gerry Podesta, with quotes from Podesta, Joe Hogan, Jean-Michel Ares, and Jan Malasek. Nearly all the of the GE businesses are mentioned as a best practice e-business throughout the article. On Monday, we will issue a press release regarding the announcement to the general and business media. We?re asking each of your key communicators and the e-PR team to be sure the release is distributed to your business-specific trade publications as well. We expect to have many copies of the issue in-hand on Monday and will be sure to send each of you an original for reference. In addition, a spotlight feature is in development and will be posted on ge.com Monday morning. As part of the announcement we are also receiving a special award from Internet Week. We?ve asked to purchase 20 of these awards and plan to send each of you one to place in your lobby or other prominent area for visibility and further promotion. This is an incredibly exciting announcement (the article is amazingly flattering towards our strategy and success).
