My mother died from lung cancer in '93. It took three years. It was not pretty. She suffered a lot of pain as the cancer spread into other areas of her body. She quit when they discovered the first tumor in her lungs. Too late. Wish she'd have been around to see my son arrive on the scene, but she wasn't.

I don't blame her -- we all have our weaknesses, but I do tell people that I know who are smoking and will listen, that they should quit. This is something that God never meant for people to do. It's not too late for your Dad to quit and significantly reduce his chances of a premature death.

God bless you and your father, Paul
