Bert, could well be. NYSE members have been buying the declines heavily, and that inventory needs to be distributed. since lots of money has been flowing into the funds lately, the future bag holders have been identified already. note that several upgrades have lately been sold into. that's of course because trading desks and analysts work at arm's length from each other...yeah, right. i find it also quite remarkably how shrill the spin&hype machine has become, re. economic slowdown...it's like every available resource is being thrown into keeping the ponzi game going. well, so far it seems to be working...but i have always held that markets can't be 'jump started' if the underlying conditions have really changed for the worse. regards, hb
