That's interesting regarding the laws at it relates to divorce. I've always been impressed by the closeness of Philippine families. And now I wonder if the divorce law has helped families stay together there?

It would be interesting to see the law lifted and then determine whether the problems related to family break down in the United States started to occur.

I tend to feel the ease of divorce in the United States has helped to foster the high divorce rate we have. And I've wondered whether mandatory counseling might help families stay together. Especially if they have children.

Having a law completely banning divorce doesn't seem very practicable. Some people find out they're incompatible with one another after they marry, no matter how hard they try.
