Hi Dennis,

I doubt that LVLT even knows where those markers are (except for those which are stamped in metal on the manhole covers). The contractors (Empite City Subways, Hugh O'kane, Petrocelli, Bell Atlantic, Con Ed, and a growing list of others) and the permits folks from City Hall need to know.

Also, I don't think that any of the principals really mind seeing their names in Bright Orange on Black at the intersection of Wall and Broad. From another perspective it's serves another purpose more which is more crucial to service assurance: It's like having your name spelled LOUD AND CLEAR on your hospital chart during an epidemic - the one that sits at the foot of your bed - because of all the activity in the streets going on right now.

Unless, of course, you don't mind undergoing -ectomies or taking trips to the O.R. on behalf of others, for other purposes. ;-)
