Thanks for the links - I just found out that the high-end CyberShot I am craving is only $995 direct from Sony - which ain't cheap, but isn't that much more than the Mavica I was thinking I would settle for. Just woke up, haven't compared prices yet, but since you've been comparing prices already, are these list prices? <edit>Never mind, I just checked against the amazon.com site - the FD73 is listed on amazon.com for $599, discounted to $429. It's listed on the vaiodirect site at $499. vaiodirect.sel.sony.com
