KASH Re...<<<<<<<But the "emotional factor" has to be considered and "enjoyment" of the house, pool, barbeques etc etc. <<<<<<

Kash, you have a pool and barbeques going? I will be right over. Where do you live and do you mind if I bring along a few friends,(only 30). What kind of beer do you have and can I p** in the pool? <g>

Just kidding of course, but that is one of the main reasons for having a house is the privacy. I am not talking about taking walks in the park, but rather the ability to have privacy even when the whole family is there, which you cannot get in a cramped apartment. 800 to 1200 sq. ft isn't enough for a family of five. Even if you are in your room, you can't play loud music because others will complain and if the kids bring friends over, there isn't enough space to have a good time. in my house, I have 3 bedrooms upstairs, and I also have 3 bedrooms and rec room with Knee walls on 3 sides, which makes for a comfortable living space. The amusing part is my 3 boys all prefer to live downstairs even if upstairs bedroom is bigger. Why ? Privacy. They do their thing and I do mine. And that makes all of the extra costs worth it.
