I think your late to the shorting party of QCOM. They dont make those phones anymore, sold the division. They will make over a billion dollars in earnings on 40% gross margins. They own the Proprietary Technology that All cell phones will use. They make about 10bucks a phone, the worldwide cell phone market should be arround a billion devises(phones, modems etc) They will all eventially be CDMA. Therfore that will be about 10 billion in earnings not including other investements and divisions. At 20 times earnings is a 200 billion company. So I dont believe its what you want to short. Take my estimates and cut them in half and its still a double the next three years. It is now trading at about 40-50 PE or 1PEG. Which is not a value stock but hardly one worth shorting. Oh yah they have great management, and a very misunderstood biz model. I Sold my position in 130's and began nibling in 60's to buy some back. Voltairer is a dolt but dont throw your money away. If you want a good short look at TERN.
