Great story on your B-17 adventure! Was this B-17 the "Nine-O-Nine" from the Collings foundation? see:http://www.collingsfoundation.org/ They tour the country with the B-17 and a B-24 (The Dragon and His Tail"). Recently took a flight in the B-24. Really was one of life's great experiences. You can fly for about 40 minutes in either of the Collings planes for $350. Worth many times the cost. Their tour schedule is posted on the web site! If you get the chance take your two sons for a flight. They will never forget the experience & thrill of flying in either plane and while flying roaming around the plane, squeezing between two racks of bombs on a narrow catwalk or maning one of the 50 caliber machine guns during flight. Suggestion for Jim Willie: Take your favorite lady up in the B-24 and you will find out later what really unbridled passion is all about! Forget the Beemer! Regards, Mac
