Harold S,

No. I am not a Chapter 11'er. I just don't feel great about peak earnings in this cycle.

Does the peak occur in FY2002 or FY2003? What is the earnings power when it does come? $0.30? $1.75? What is the likelihood of generating a significantly higher stock price while applying some rational multiple to those earnings?

I would argue that multiples should be a bit compressed by then. AMAT, NVLS, KLAC, and LRCX will face, in the best case, tough comparisons with slowing orders. The recovery will be a seasoned cycle by then and people will value the stocks accordingly.

I hope, for all CFMT holders, that everything works out great. I hope that the company either executes well and is rewarded in the marketplace or that the firm attracts a well-heeled suitor.

On the latter, for a period of time, I used to look forward to Monday mornings to see if one of my companies was going to be taken to the altar. I have has some successes in Stock Marriage Mondays, but it is not a great reason for me to hold onto a stock. "This one has to be taken out!" could have been my rallying cry for some time with CFMT.
