Based on this response, currently shipping G* phones do not yet have the VLNC battery. He was interested to see if the battery is from Valence. The phone arrived today, and I thought the better place to respond is here, and point him to this message. I received two battery packs, one that came as part of the phone and an optional spare. Each has a serial number that begins with 'DHET' and is followed by all numerics. No 'V' in either serial number. Is there anything else to check to determine vendor/manufacturer?
