She's two years and 4 1/2 months old. One of her favorite books is "Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see?"
On the first page is this picture of a bear, and she makes this fierce face and says "It goes hrrmmm!" (growling noise) She won't let me get past that page until I've made a few deep, chest-rattling growls of my own. These usually delight her to the point that she squeals with laughter. Then she goes serious in the blink of an eye and says "It bites!" and picks up any handy toy and attacks my arm. "Bite! Bite!"
She has a thing about biting now. Curiously, she doesn't do much biting of her own.

When we get to the page with the duck or the sheep, she says "Make the noise! Daddy!"

Her other code word is "Exercise?" ("Let's go outside and run in circles!") we chase each other and she squeals until one of us is worn out. She'll grin toothily and observe that "exercise is FUN."
