Chris, I would not use this case as an example for bashers. As the Defendants in this action were shareholders in Hvide Marine. They are being sued by the former president for their postings as he said they defamed him and now he can not find a job. The company in question was started in 1958 by the father of the Plaintiff and went public in 1994. In 1996 the son kicked the old man out (76 years) and managed to run the company into the ground by 1998. I followed the entire story as it is here in South Florida. If there ever was an officer/director who should be crucified it is Mr. Eric Hvide. The Defendants in this matter have hired a very repectable law firm to protect their first amendment rights. I suspect Eric did not like the reference to him being a member of the lucky sperm club, the posts related to illegal union kickbacks (new management revealed that yes it was true)or in particular the one about the hampster (just kidding) This type of lawsuit is the type that one day I suspect that I will be the subject of litigation from the "boys" of wghi saying I defamed them. At least they will not have to figure out who I am or where I live. BTW the defendants are filing a subpeona to Yahoo/AOL to reveal the identity of other posters who were pumping the stock as friends of managment. Dori Carpinello Glad to see that cybr bashers/shorters have crawled back in their holes.
