OK - more on firewalls did you consider McAfee's "Personal Firewall" software? What made you choose a separate box, as opposed to software? No, BlackIce is the only one I looked at because a friend recommended it and told me they have a free demo. I chose a seperate box because I have read the security is better and sharing the cable connection is easier than with software. The Ugate does Network Address Translation (NAT) which lets me share my cable connection with several PCs. I simply plug my PCs into the UGate and they all have access. Software is more intrusive because it uses memory and is another thing that can crash, conflict, and cause problems. - Alan
