Fonar( Fonar Corp )says GE( General Electric Co )denied
rehearing of suit

MELVILLE, N.Y., May 12 (Reuter) - Fonar Corp said Monday General Electric Co was denied a
rehearing of a patent infringement suit and $103 million award upheld by the court in Fonar's favor.

GE filed a petition with the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal District on April 1 to
request that the three judges who heard the appeal agree to a rehearing of the case.

GE also requested that the court accept a suggestion for an in banc hearing which would have
allowed all of the judges on the court's bench to re-hear GE's appeal of the patent infringement suit
upheld in FONAR's favor.

The court has now officially denied both rehearing requests by GE.

Fonar is represented by Ronald Schutz and Martin Lueck of the Minneapolis law firms of Robins,
Kaplan, Miller and Ciresi.
