Seriously......What has really bothered me as a non-technically inclined person during the past year has been the following:

1. If DDR is such a better, simpler, more fab/oem/customer friendly technology, cheaper, easier to build and install, etc. why hasn't it evolved more quickly? I understand research has been done since at least the mid-nineties. Something just does not compute. Reminds me of the joke about the saleman on his wedding night who spent the entire period sitting on the side of the bed telling his bride how great it was going to be.

2. With the power of the seven dramurai behind the DDR drive, shouldn't VIA and others be pouring every dollar of research and development into this cash cow, can't miss product line? If they are not, why not? If they are, and they can't produce a working chipset at this point there must be technical issues flaring up to which they do not yet have answers. Hey, Rambus understands. Rambus sympathizes. They've been there too.

Something just does not smell right here.
