Dan, I think your first link is just a link to this thread. Could you try re-posting it?

I see that IB offers futures trading as well. Can you trade futures out of the same account, or does it require a second account? If it requires a second account, can you easily move funds between equities and futures accounts? This could be a good way to get your feet wet (or stompted on :) ) trading futures.
