Scott:

I do not know what the sales and earnings for ACLNF would have been. As I understand it, it's more of a business model change than a change in accounting practice. Rather than receive receive payment for autos upon delivery, they are being paid for on the front end which frees up cash for the company.

The company also entered into 'trading automobiles' in the first quarter rather than just shipping them. They purchased 2400 autos in Q1 for which they claim they had non-refundable deposits for and are paid for upon delivery.

You raise a good point about what sales and earnings would have been without the changes. It's been tough to gather and decipher info on this company as it's headquartered in Cyprus with little analyst coverage. Most of what I've been able to gather has come from the company press releases and 'free edgar' however the 1st quarter for 2000 isn't out there yet. I've also ordered an investor packet from their website but haven't received it yet.

The second quarter earnings should be helpful in determining whether those first quarter numbers were an indication of future growth or more of a 'one time' event because of the changes they're making.
