Hello cirruslvr,

re: How powerful is your power supply? I have a 235W "Powerman" supply that came with my InWin case. Do you think I will need a 250 or 300W power supply with a higher MHz Thunderbird

My understanding is that the ability of the power supply to deliver a smooth even level of power is as important the the magnitude of power output. There is the issue of some of the newer video cards demanding lots more power than in the old days and causing Athlon machines to hang when using some older power supplies.

Athlon systems demand two things:
(1) A good smooth power supply
(2) Quality memory-avoid the generic stuff which may or may not work.

Try to skimp in these two area and one invites disappointment and frustration and mysteries. Life is too short for this.

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
