Tony,

I just realized that I never addressed your post to me regarding CSCO. Although it is a top-tier tech company, it is not one I would buy today based upon valuations. Management is superb and their dominance in networking is not in question. However, it is currently trading at 84 times FY01(ended July) estimates. And I am using the current High estimate of 77 cents. This is well above their 60% YOY growth rate, and in a rising interest rate environment, the market is being generous in their valuation of CSCO IMHO. Great company, just not one I would buy, at the moment.

Regards,

Brian

BTW, I had a position in CSCO but sold in about 2 years ago due to valuation.....so my advice probably is not worth much on this:-) If I had to do it over, I would never have sold, but at the same time, I would not consider buying at these levels either.
