I've never actually spoken to someone who was a shockee... but quite a few people have told me about seeing other people get shocked that way.

What I *have* seen happen a couple of times is when someone follows me when I step over the top wires on one of the goat pasture fences. The wire would be about 36" above the ground, which is just a tad higher than most people's inseams.... I cross the wires so often that I never think of "technique"... which requires that you sort of do a scissor-kick as you step over the wire..always making sure that your foot leaves the ground on one side before your other foot hits the ground on the other side... if you do it right....no shock... If you do it wrong... ZAP on the inseam...often in a sensitive area... I've seen a couple of people "get it" when they were unlucky enough to execute this move wrong while being in contact with the wire just as a pulse of electricity went out from the fence controller...

Makes for some exciting dancing around accompanied by some choice language... This is usually followed by the comment...

"$%#^@%!!, How do you step over the wire without getting a %@&#%$ shock??!!!"

BTW, when I'm feeling a little less athletic than usual, I carry a plastic feed bucket which I can use to give the wire a little downwards push as I step over it... Removes some of the "risk factor"... (-:
