A Dorky Flying Dream:
This one just about takes the cake in the Dorky Dream Department.
I was in the gymnasium of a school in the middle of a Dog Obedience Class. Everyone had reasonably decent-sized dogs, but I just had a tiny dog... a Yorkshire Terrier on a leash. But it was a tough little sucker and it kept pulling and acting very bad. I remember feeling really somewhat embarrassed because I couldn't get this tiny little dog to behave.
Finally, I left the school and started walking home. As I went along, the little dog kept pulling like hell on the leash, so I decided to start jogging and let it run for awhile. As it ran, it picked up speed more and more until it was going so fast that I couldn't keep up anymore... At that point, my feet sort of slipped back behind me, and next thing I knew, I was flying along being pulled by the leash attached to the little dog as it ran down the sidewalk...
As if that wasn't goofy enough, the dog continued to speed up until it took off and started rising up into the air with me in tow....
We flew along for a couple of blocks, then the dog slowed down and we dropped down towards the sidewalk. Eventually, we ended up back on the ground walking along in a suburban neighbourhood.
Then we came to this girl who would have been about 10 years old. She was standing alone on a corner and she was crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said that a bunch of kids were making fun of her and called her names and chased her away.
I said, "Here, take this little dog and walk with it for awhile.... Something amazing will happen to you."
The girl took the dog's leash and started walking along the sidewalk. I walked with her and soon the dog started to speed up and start pulling the same as before. I told the girl what to do... to run with the dog until she started to fly, which she did... Soon, she was flying along behind the dog and then it took off and went up into the sky with the girl laughing and flying along behind it...
End of dream... Weird, eh? |
