Property Payment

Company management is pleased to report that the final underlying property payment due on May 14,
1997, for its properties at San Jose de Gracia, Sinaloa, Mexico, has been fully funded. Golden
Hemlock's subsidiary company Minera Finisterre S.A. de C.V., on closing will own 100% of the San
Jose de Gracia mining camp.
A contract for a comprehensive airborne E.M. magnetometer and radiometric survey has been let to
Aero Surveys Inc. This survey will greatly assist in geological interpretation and in defining drill targets
for future exploration.
Tenders have been called and a contract will be awarded for drilling a minimum of 8,000 metres
(25,000') scheduled to start prior to the end of May, 1997.
Further detailed core logging and sampling have been carried out. Of significance are two samples, one
on the Gossan Cap and one from the Tres Amigos.

The Company will engage an independent professional engineer to aid Company personnel in
executing the next phase program as well as monitor exploration and sample handling procedures. The
independent engineer will be based on site in San Jose de Gracia.
Results from the next phase of exploration and other events material to the Company will be promptly
reported as they become available.

Description of Sample Handling & Assay Procedures

In light of recent events elsewhere, the Company wishes to describe its core and sample handling and
assay procedures.
The core is extracted from the core barrel and placed in plastic core trays in the order drilled. Each
core run is marked with a footage (meterage) tag. The core boxes are then taken from the drill site to
the Company's core handling facility where it is logged by Company geologists.
The geologists mark the core intervals to be sampled. The core is sawn in half lengthwise using a
diamond blade saw under forced water for cooling and decontamination. Half the core is placed in
heavy duty plastic bags with an identification tag placed within. The bags are then sealed and placed
within a larger fabric bag. When full, the larger bags are sealed.
The other half of the core is retained in the original core trays for future reference.
The large bags are shipped by Company truck from the property to the Company's office in Guamuchil
where they are maintained in secure storage until pick up.
The samples are picked up by Intertek Testing Services - Bondar Clegg and taken to that independent
firm's preparation laboratory in Hermasillo. The samples are then dried and crushed. The assay portion
is placed in Kraft bags marked with the assay number and shipped by air to Bondar Clegg's
Vancouver lab. Gold is analysed by fire assay; other elements by atomic absorption. The portion not
used for assay is retained in Hermasillo for subsequent check assays.
